Charles G. Stiene, Esq.

Mr. Stiene is the proud founder and President of Stiene & Associates, P.C. located in Northport, NY. Mr. Stiene concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate, banking, corporate matters and litigation. He has over 30 years of litigation experience in all phases from pleadings to depositions, hearings, trials and appellate practice in matters such as products liability, contractual disputes, declaratory judgment actions, and commercial breach of contract actions. Mr. Stiene also has extensive experience in representing institutional and individual clients with respect to uncontested and contested mortgage foreclosure proceedings. His real estate and banking experience includes representation of institutional and private clients in the closing of residential and commercial mortgage loans, condominium loans, cooperative apartments loans, drafting opinion letters for lenders on regulatory and statutory compliance matters, representation of lenders on commercial loan closings and financings of multifamily and commercial properties, reviewing offering plans to convert real property to both condominium and cooperative forms of ownership, representation of individual purchasers and sellers in the sale and acquisition of both commercial and residential properties, representation of building owners in the acquisition and financing of commercial real estate properties. Other areas of experience include creditor and debtor rights, will and trust drafting, estate administration and planning, drafting of documents for the formation of business organizations including corporations, partnerships, limited partnerships; and limited liability companies.

Mr. Stiene was admitted to the Bar of the State of New York in 1986, the United States District Court for the Eastern, Southern and Northern Districts in 1986 and the United States District Court for the Western District of New York in 1987. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from The State University of New York, College of Oswego in 1982 and a Juris Doctorate Degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1985. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Suffolk County Bar Association, and the Mortgage Bankers Association.

Justine J.A. Cefalu, Esq.

Mrs. Cefalu is an associate attorney at Stiene & Associates, P.C. and focuses her practice in firm's foreclosure, bankruptcy and litigation departments along with supervising the Trusts and Estates department at the firm. Mrs. Cefalu’s real estate and banking experience includes representation of institutional and private clients in the closing of residential and commercial mortgage loans and financing of multifamily and commercial properties.

Mrs. Cefalu received her B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and earned her law degree from Touro College, Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center. During her career at Touro Law School, Ms. Cefalu participated in the Elder Law Clinic, was a member of the Women's Bar Association and the Entertainment & Sports Law Society. She also interned for the Stony Brook University Athletics in the Compliance Department.

Prior to joining the Firm, Mrs. Cefalu worked as an associate for an insurance defense firm on Long Island and also gained experience as a law clerk in a trusts and estates firm.

Mrs. Cefalu is admitted to practice in New York State Court and is a Commissioned Notary Public. She is a proud member of the Nassau County Bar Association as well as a member of the New York State Bar Association.
